It was founded in Muskegon in 1924 by George Tuxbury. After World War II, Bob Tuxbury joined his father in the insurance business. Bob hired Bernie McKenzie in 1966 and David Price in 1971. After working in the agency for over 10 years, Bernie and David purchased the agency from Bob, renaming it McKenzie-Price Agency in 1981. David’s son, Andrew, started with the agency in 2002 and is now President of the company.
